Graduation cap

STEP 1

Education

We’ll make sure you have the resources you need to be an informed borrower, including explaining the different loan options available to you — like one that lets you buy a “fixer-upper” and receive funds toward planned renovations, with just a single application.

STEP 2

Shopping & Plannning

If you’re making repairs or improvements to a house you already own, now is the time to meet with contractors and get estimates. Or, if you are looking to buy a house, you start shopping with a wider range of homes in mind — even ones that need a little TLC.

STEP 3

Documentation

Since your home should be worth more after your repairs, a professional appraisal of the home’s value post-renovation is needed. This is in addition to a finalized scope of work, schedules, and estimates from contractors — and of course, any required proof of insurance.

STEP 4

Closing

Fast processing means you (and in the case of our eFIXERUPPER Loan, the seller) gets the needed funds quickly — with the amount for repairs placed into an escrow account. Work must begin within 30 days of closing and be completed within six months.
